For 16 years as an artist, Klas Wiréhn has been interested in the interplay between the abstract in the colors of nature and the tangible in all situations in which we move.
With his colorful and large paintings, sometimes over two meters high and wide, he captures everyday life and often with a touch of humor and topicality. The paintings are often painted with acrylic paint – so much acrylic paint that it can sometimes take weeks for the paint to dry. These are works that both take up space and blend into their context.
Looking for an unexpected effect in a detail, finding new concepts and forms and reflecting the light in different angles is something that Klas likes to explore through his works.
